Travelling to Paxos

Despite being too small for an airport, travelling to Paxos is straightforward. Each  year we do our best to ensure a smooth journey for our clients, however it is important to  remember  that  this can not  be achieved every time. We advise our clients to relax throughout their trip to Paxos and enjoy themselves at each stop.

Corfu - Kerkyra  Airport - When  you  arrive in Corfu, there will  be  a  short  wait  for your bags (up to 1 hour) and then when  you   get  to   the  arrival  hall,  look out  for our GBV representative. She will be holding a clipboard with the GBV logo on it. A  taxi  will  be  organised  to  take  you from the airport  to  the departure  point. Depending  on  the  number of  arrivals  and weather conditions you will  either  travel by SEA-TAXI  or  HYDROFOIL FERRY to Paxos.  The transfer costs approximately  €54pp return (children under 12 years old pay only 50%), including a taxi/minibus to Corfu harbour, sea-taxi or  ferry to Paxos, transfer to the villas  and vice versa for your  return journey. The transfer is payable in Paxos, on departure.

Remember to relax throughout the journey.

The Old Port - If  you  are   travelling  to  Paxos  by sea taxi then you will  be  taken to  the 'Old Port'. Once  at   the  'Old Port', relax  with  a  drink  at  Cafe  Yali  and wait for the sea taxi to arrive. The  sea  taxi does not leave every hour and so you may have time to take a short walk around the Old Town
of Corfu or try Maria's  excellent cooking! You can leave your baggage at Cafe Yali where it will be stored safely.
The New Port - If  you  are  travelling  to  Paxos by hydrofoil ferry then your taxi will take you to the 'New Port'.  There is a small  bar  where  you  can  buy  some  snacks  or  you can relax  with  a drink in one  of  the  cafes on  the other side of
the main road, opposite the New Port.
Paxos - Whether  you  arrive  in  Loggos  or  Gaios,  you  will be greeted by Spiros. Look out for the white minibus with the GBV logo. If you travel by sea taxi,  you  are likely to arrive in Loggos, in which case you are only ten minutes drive from Glyfada Beach Villas.

Glyfada Beach Villas - The Glyfada Beach Villas are situated near Loggos, one of the  smallest  fishing villages  on  Paxos. When  you   arrive  in Glyfada, you will be given the key to your villa and informed about the services. We hope  that  you will  enjoy  your stay in Paxos and consider the journey worth it!
