The Swimming Pool and Tennis Court

The swimming pool at Glyfada is situated on the hill, close to  all   the   villas,  and surrounded by olive and cypress trees. From the pool there are spectacular views of the Ionian Sea towards the Greek mainland and Corfu.

There is  an honesty  bar  at the pool,  offering  soft drinks, beer and spirits and ice cream. There  are  plenty  of  sun beds and umbrellas so there is no rush to get to the pool early. In fact, the pool is usually empty in the morning and begins  to attract people in the late afternoon.

There is strictly no diving in the pool for your own safety. The deep end is 180cm, just under 6ft and the shallow end is 90cm, ideal for children. Every Thursday there  is  an organised game of water polo, which is always  great  fun to join in or watch.

The Tennis Court

The tennis court is new for Summer 2004. It is a hard court,  close  to  the  pool so if want you can refresh in  the  pool  after  your game. If you are a very  keen player, you are advised to bring your  own  rackets and balls, because numbers are limited. Please ask at  reception for  prices.
